In October 2006 Schaudt celebrated its 100th birthday. Shortly after the turn of the 20th century Carl Unger founded the company in Stuttgart and in 1943 it was renamed when Dr Gerhardt Schaudt took over the company. It already had a strong reputation for first class machine construction and excellent grinding quality and this continues to the present day.

The company may be 100 years old but the technology is still at the forefront with new innovations being constantly developed. Today it offers customer specific grinding and tailor made process solutions using expertise gained from numerous successes.

Schaudt is a pioneer in CNC technology for both round and especially non round grinding and leads the way in CBN technology and multifunctional hard finishing techniques. 

During the Symposium which was attended by many customers the new products and the revised marketing strategy was presented whilst at the same time in a more relaxed atmosphere everybody  took the opportunity to enjoy the celebrations - more details will appear shortly
